Each destination involved has been selected thinking in your Honeymoon Celebration! Activities have been chosen for a balance between outdoor experiences, and your own time.  You’ll probably would like to start or finish your day in a replenishing way: with a yoga session, a relaxing massage, or a beach walk. Either way your days can be as full and active or as tranquil as you wish.

San José

San José is the capital.  It is in the center of the country, in the Central Valley. The city offers many options for hotel accommodations and has several historic buildings such as the Melico Salazar Theater, National Museum, Metal Building, Children’s Museum, Costa Rican Art and Design Museum, Museum of Jade (recently renovated).

Tortuguero National Park

Tortuguero National Park is a protected wilderness.  Its beaches are famous nesting grounds for sea turtles, including endangered green turtles. The park’s freshwater creeks and lagoons, which can be navigated. more than 320 species of birds including all six species of kingfishers found in the new world, three species of toucans, eight species of parrots, and other neotropical species such as the Slaty-tailed Trogon, White-collared Manakin and the Purple-throated Fruit crow. The marked trail along the beach is used mostly for observing turtle nesting

Bajos del Toro Amarillo

Bajos del Toro Amarillo is cultural heritage site tucked away in a valley between extinct volcanoes. The name “Bajos del Toro” means “low bull­­’’.  This area is considered as one of the hidden gems of Costa Rica. Nestled in tropical rainforest surroundings. Bajos del Toro is characterized by richness of life immersed in its valleys, waterfalls wet & rainy climate to satisfy anyone’s tastes. As farming area is very common to see cows and crop fields are along the journey.

Nicoya Peninsula

The Nicoya Peninsula is on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast; features some of the most pristine shorelines in Costa Rica. The area’s surf beaches include Playa Santa Teresa and Playa Mal País in the south, and Playa Grande, in Las Baulas National Marine Park, in the north. Leatherback turtles’ nest and hatch at Playa Grande. Olive Ridley turtles arrive farther south at Ostional National Wildlife Refuge

Hotel Grano de Oro

Deluxe Terrace

Deluxe Terraces are 17 m2. Each room has been created with care in the details, which allows guests to experience a stay full of moments of peace by visually enjoying, through glass windows, the view of the forest and, sometimes, the ocean Most of the rooms have a balcony or terrace where you can enjoy a glass of wine.

In Room: Queen Sized bed, air-conditioning, desk, large outdoor terrace with “Acapulco” chairs and table: 13 m², safe, hair dryer, mini refrigerator, eco-friendly toiletries, solar water heater, specialty coffee with French press and teas.


After passing through migration and customs, you can meet your Costa Rica Travel Adventures English Speaking Guide and your Spanish Driver with a sign with your name on.

Transfer to your hotel afterwards; Driving time is approximately 50 minutes.

Early morning: Pick up at Hotel Grano de Oro (5:30am approx.) Shared transfer with other guests to the airport where you will board a 25-minute Sansa domestic flight to Tortuguero National Park.

Early afternoon; Kayaking the mystical canals of Tortuguero National Park

Kayak through the majestic canals and rainforest of  Tortuguero National Park on this unforgettable two-hour tour. Schedule an early morning or afternoon transfer by boat from the lodge to the quiet backwater creeks and lagoons of the park, where you will launch your kayak. You will be accompanied by a bilingual Tortuguero guide for the duration of the trip. Life jackets and will be provided, and your kayak’s seat can be adjusted to ensure your utmost comfort and security.  Your guide will give a full safety briefing and paddling instructions before the tour begins. No previous kayaking experience is required.

Leave early morning the lodge by boat (shared with other guests) with your naturalist guide to explore the creeks of the National Park or join one of the available experiences included in your program which can take you deeper into the rainforest or to the nearby town. The morning hours are especially active in the rain forest when wildlife is hungry and in search of their energy source for the day.

Early  afternoon; journey back through time and glimpse the fascinating history and culture of Tortuguero Village, first known as Turtle Bogue or treat yourself to the only birds-eye view of the majestic Caribbean lowlands on a two-hour intermediate-level hike up Cerro Tortuguero. Return to the lodge by boat.

Late afternoon; you are welcome to discover the magical twilight hours of the rainforest on a two-hour walk-through Tortuga Lodge’s private 26-hectare nature reserve. Join your fellow guests and the local naturalist guide at the front desk to be fitted with rubber boots and receive a rain poncho and flashlight.

After breakfast, 3-minute river boat crossing to Tortuguero airstrip where you will board a 25 -minute flight back to San Jose.  Upon arrival, your private driver will transfer you to Bajos del Toro Amarillo. Length of the transfer is approximately 2 hours.

Day to enjoy and explore the area and surroundings. Mystic Hike, onsite complementary tour.

A time for intention and meditation. The perfect chance to experience the cloud forest from a different and holistic perspective. Take an in-spired walk through a magical knot garden, hidden paths that embrace nature’s elements and our delightful hummingbird garden. You’ll be led by an Eco-concierge through a short yet inspiring walk through the four-element trail as it focuses on consciousness, and happiness.

After breakfast, meet your Spanish Speaking Driver for the approximately 2 hours private transfer to Puntarenas Province, where you will board the ferry to Paquera.

Boat ride (80 minutes approximately) across the Gulf of Nicoya is a scenic and relaxing trip with great views of the peninsula. It passes by small islands in the gulf, some of them protected biological reserves which are only inhabited by colonies of maritime birds.

Upon arrival, a representative from Isla Chiquita will meet you at the Paquera’ Ferry arrival platform for an additional 10-minute boat ride to the hotel.

During your stay the bioluminescence tour has been scheduled.

Our planet offers privileged locations that feature a mesmerizing natural phenomenon called bioluminescence. The ocean lights up during very dark nights. Produced by high concentrations of light-emitting plankton, bioluminescence imbues the waters with a starry night effect.

Additional eco-adventures such us stand-up paddle-boarding, forest-bathing hikes, bird watching, and snorkeling are available at an extra cost.

Length of transfers by boat and van is 1 hour and 15 minutes approximately.

Montezuma Beach: Montezuma is a town in the southern part of Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula. It’s known for its long stretch of white-sand beach, Playa Montezuma. To the northeast, a trail leads through jungle and around coves to Playa Grande, a popular surf beach. Behind the beach is Romelia Wildlife Reserve, a turtle sanctuary and hatchery. Montezuma Waterfall comprises a series of cascades and natural pools.

During your stay a horseback riding tour has been scheduled.

You will be transferred to the Tambor airport (40 minutes’ drive from Nya Hotel), where you will board a 25-minute Sansa domestic flight back to San José. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel.

Your Transfer Guide and your Spanish Speaking Driver will be on time to get you to Juan Santamaría International Airport; 3 hours before your scheduled departure flight for check in purposes

Important Note: When flying or traveling by boat within Costa Rica a maximum of 30 pounds of luggage is allowed per person.

They are all Costa Rican and are happy to share their insight on with you.
