Marino Ballena National Park- Dominical

An oasis of sea species!

Overview

This tour is offered the whole year, but whale sightings are most likely (although not guaranteed) during whales season, which runs from end December to April and from July to November.  Daily updates about the arrival of whales in the park is made.

The boot tour starts and finishes at Punta Uvita beach and takes about three hours.

The professional guide will inform you about this amazing marine park while searching for the impressive humpback whale and pilot whale. These tours frequently run into schools of dolphins as well. The Bottlenose dolphin, the Spotted dolphin, the Common dolphin, the Spinner dolphin and the Rough Toothed dolphin are often seen in the waters of Marino Ballena National Park.

Marino Ballena National Park is home of the biggest coral reefs in Central America and you will have the opportunity to snorkel over these reefs (when weather and sea conditions allow).  You will be surrounded by beautiful fish and other marine wildlife on the snorkel spots called: Piedra Ballena and Tómbolo Punta Uvita.

The tour will pass by many beautiful beaches – like Colonia, Arco and Piñuelas – which you can admire from the boat. You will also see the famous caves of Playa Ventanas from sea.
